President And CEO... Dr. Hamidian earned the B.S. Degree in Communication Disorders from Marywood University and the M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Bloomsburg University. She has also earned the Psy. D. Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has experience in providing speech and language services to persons with communication disorders, and she is a practitioner in the application of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, to treat a wide array of psychological issues in her work with individuals, families and caregivers. Dr. Hamidian served in the Wayne County Consortium as a Speech Language Pathologist, and treated those with various communication disorders. She continues to consult with consumers in the area of Communication Disorders and now integrates behavioral approaches to improve the social communication, and academic functioning of those seeking help.
Clinical Supervisor... Rebekah Nazarchuk is a 2002 graduate of Marywood University, and a 2006 graduate of the University of Scranton. She joined the "Aaron Center" team in 2014 as a therapist, and in 2016 began working as quality assurance. Ms. Nazarchuk now serves as one of the Clinical Supervisors in the Outpatient Program. Ms. Nazarchuk has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of trauma and is a "trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapist". Also, Ms. Nazarchuk has been trained to work with clients that have extensive trauma-related backgrounds. We are proud to have Ms. Nazarchuk here at the center!
Assistant Director/ Payroll... Kathy Yanick graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration on Infancy and Early Childhood. After graduation, Kathy worked in a daycare setting with infants, where she learned more about infant and child development and daily routines. Following Kathy's experience at the daycare, she worked in data entry for a few years, where Kathy brushed up on her typing skills and enhanced her computer skills. Kathy worked her way up to a management position in the data entry field where she developed leadership skills. Kathy aslo started working at Pediatric and Adult Therapy Services (PATS) in 2001. PATS is the sister company to the Aaron Center. Today Kathy is the administrator/supervisor of the Early Intervention Program through PATS, and also a fill-in as an evaluator when needed. Additional duties at the Aaron Center include payroll and assisting with IT issues.
Human Resource Manager... Rebecca has come to the Aaron Center with 19 years of experience in the Human Services field recruiting for Community Residential Rehabilitation Service, ISP development, funding renewals, training with host families, and file compliance with PA MENTOR. Rebecca has also spent time working as a Human Resource Manager at Delaware Valley Job Corp (operated by Dynamic Educational System, Inc), providing at risk teens and young adults with educational and technical skills opportunities to become successful adults. In addition, Rebecca currently works as Risk Management Director at Keystone Community Resources, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community group home and vocational / day settings, providing diverse opportunities for people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives right in our communities. Rebecca has a homegrown Master's from the University of Scranton, and her Human Resource work history includes: Joe's Kwik Marts, Human Resource Coordinator for Delaware Valley Job Corps, and Human Resource Manager with Keystone Community Resources. She now holds the position as Director Of Risk Management with the same company. Rebecca is now a part time team member here at the Aaron Center as our Human Resource Manager.
Physican Assistant, MSPAS, PA-C... Carlene is a 2003 Graduate of Kings College PA Program. Carlene has been working in Behavioral Health for 14 years. She thoroughly enjoys helping others and hopes to continue for a long time to come!
Nurse Practitioner... Danielle Kamine, CRNP, MS, ANP-BC, PMHNP-BC is a Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has 12 years as a nurse in psychiatry with the last 7 years as a Nurse Practitioner. Prior to the Aaron Center, she has worked in a variety of roles including, outpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency room, inpatient acute and chronic. Danielle completed her Masters degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, then obtained a Post Masters certification from St Louis University in St Louis MO. Danielle is board certified by the ANCC in both Adult Primary Care and as a Family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In her free time Danielle enjoys running half marathons, traveling, and most importantly,.. spending time with family.
Outpatient Therapist/Clinical Supervisor Jessica Burns, LSW Licensed Social Worker, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Jessica is a 2008 graduate of the University of Scranton, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication, and a 2014 graduate of Marywood University, where she earned a Masters of Social Work degree. In 2014, Jessica earned her professional social work license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors. Jessica has worked in social service agencies and school district settings since 2009, and has earned experience in neurodevelopmental disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma and stressor related disorders, addictive disorders, and bipolar disorders. Jessica's primary interests include working with trauma and addiction. Jessica joined the Aaron Center team in 2016 as an outpatient therapist and recently began serving as one of the Clinical Supervisors along with providing therapy services and court appointed reunification/therapeutic services. Jessica is working toward certifications in Attachment-Based Family Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and will earn her LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) credential by 2018.
Outpatient Therapist ... Susan K. Wagar, LSW, received her Bachelor of Social Work from The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY where she received The Bonnie M. Soliker Award for excellence in Junior Field Achievement. Susan completed her Masters in Social Work in 2014 from Adelphi University in Poughkeepsie, NY. She has an extensive history working with Adoption, Foster Care and Family Court in New York. Susan is a Licensed Social Worker in both New York and Pennsylvania and is in the process of clinical licensure. Susan specializes in Trauma and Anxiety Disorders utilizing evidence based practices such as TFCBT for children and adolescences from 3-18 years of age and CBT/Exposure Therapy with Adults (including Veterans). Another area of focus is Family and Couples Therapy utilizing framework of Solution Focused Therapy and Functional Family Therapy. Susan is a certified "Thinking For A Change" Facilitator that assists repeat criminal offenders in utilizing CBT skills to prevent recidivism. Susan is also a member of The National Association of Social Workers and is a Veteran of The New York State Army National Guard.
Clinical Social Worker... Dorothy Hagan, LCSW, is a Sister of Mercy, who holds Master Degrees from Marywood University in Social Work, and Fordham University in Biology and Religious Education. Sr. Hagan has ministered as a Clinical Social Worker at the Scranton Counseling Center and the Aaron Center for the past 21 years. Prior to this, Sr. Hagan has been a teacher on the Intermediate, High School, and Junior College levels. Sr. Hagan is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and Spiritual Director's International. She participated in a "Mercy Six Week Emersion Experience" in Guyana, South America. Sr. Hagan volunteers for child and family counseling at the Ruth Matthews Bourger, and Woman with Children Program at Misericordia University. She is also a Board member for the Catherine McAuley Center, a Reiki Master, and a Spiritual Direction Practitioner.
Outpatient Supervisor... Aaron Is the outpatient supervisor for Critical Mental Health Services here at the Aaron Center. Aaron received his undergraduate degree in Art from Alfred University and Masters Degree in Art Therapy from Marywood University. Aaron has 18 years of experience in the mental health industry, the last 11 of which have been in service to the residents of Lackawanna and Luzerne counties. Aaron's experience spans multiple levels of care including; community, inpatient, emergency, residential, family, and outpatient services. Aaron works with a wide variety of populations and is fluent in several care modalities.
Senior Front Desk Associate... Jessica manages the scheduling and communications of the Aaron Center. Jessica assists in checking-in and checking-out consumers with their appointments. Jessica also coordinates with the Medical and Theraputic Staff. In addition, Jessica oversees the operation of Reception Area.
Outpatient Therapist... Denise Zuvic Curriculum Vitae, BS, MS... Denise received her B.S. in Social Sciences from the University of Scranton and her M.S. in Foreign Language Education also from the University of Scranton. Ms. Zuvic continued her studies for a M.S. in Community Counseling at the University of Scranton. Ms. Zuvic has pursued her studies while actively working in the fields of social work and education. She has taught Spanish and Culture Education, and Diversity related classes at the University of Scranton, Penn State Worthington-Scranton, Penn State Wilkes-Barre and Lackawanna College. Ms. Zuvic worked in International Social Work throughout Latin America for 10 years, then spent 3 years working in Marketing Research on the Hispanic Community in the U.S. She handled a fully bilingual program as Manager of Parenting Programs and Hispanic Programming at EOTC, a Community Service Agency in Scranton, PA., as well as begining and running a mentoring program for immigrant children and teens. Ms. Zuvic rounds out her education and work experience regarding the Hispanic population by being the first generation of her family raised in the United States, bridging the culture and language gaps for her family, who emigrated from Chile during great political turmoil, and helped them learn about the U.S. through her American experiences. Ms. Zuvic is also proud to be a parent of 2 boys and 3 foster children. Ms. Zuvic currently teaches at both Penn State Wilkes-Barre and Lackawanna College, in their Spanish and Continuing Education Departments. She is also a medical and legal interpreter in the Scranton area, currently doing most of her work in the psychological and counseling fields. Ms. Zuvic specializes in counseling with bilingual and multi-cultural families.
Behavior Specialist... Cassandra Gallinot, (Cassie), is a Masters level counselor specializing in childrens counseling and autism. Cassandra has a Bachelors Degree in Art Therapy and a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Marywood University. Prior to the Aaron Center, Cassandra worked as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant, Mobile Therapist, and Therapeutic Staff Support worker. Mostly focusing on children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. Cassandra is a Licensed Behavioral Specialist and Nationally Certified Counselor, and is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Outpatient Therapist... Marybeth Steinhart started as an intern at The Aaron Center in December of 2016 and is now a full-time Therapist. She graduated from Marywood University in 2015 with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and will graduate in May 2018 with her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and her Nationally Certified Counselor recognition. She does not have a particular concentration but deals primarily with anxious and depressed clientele. Marybeth is also interested in pursuing more involvement in family counseling. Marybeth's main approach with clients is solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Outpatient Therapist... Alyssa Bauer, MS. Alyssa completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Scranton in 2015. She went on to fill a variety of roles at Friendship House, which include Mobile Therapist, Case Manager, and Clinical Specialist for Autism Early Intervention. Alyssa has experience in Multisystemic Therapy, Family Therapy, and Trauma. Alyssa's populations of focus include adolescences and young adults. Alyssa is working toward earning her LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) credential by Summer 2018.
Outpatient Therapist... Angelica is a Masters Level Counselor who specializes in Family, Adolesent, and Child Counseling. Angelica enjoys helping individuals with behavioral difficulties, anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, ADHD, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Angelica uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Mindfulness to increase self awareness and help consumers reach their goals. In addition, Angelica, will be a licensed therapist in January of 2018!
Administrative Assistant... Kristian Pyatt, CCMA; Krissy's roles include intake coordinator, administrative assistant, answering the phones, and medical assistant. Krissy is also in the process of transitioning to Medical Assistant.
Outpatient Therapist... Dana Marmo received her Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from The University of Scranton. Dana's professional interests focus on interpersonal neurobiology and Mental Illness, specifically, personality disorders. As a Therapist, Dana utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and personal centered theoretical orientations. Dana believes that treatment plans for consumers should be individualized and tailored to fit the needs of the person. Dana is a professional member of the National Rehabilitation Association, and a Certified member of the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification. In order to keep up with the newest information and educate herself to better serve the consumer, Dana attends national and local conferences and attends trainings on therapeutic intervention.
Outpatient Therapist... Gloria Blewett graduated from Marymount Manhattan College, New York City, with a B.A. in sociology/psychology. Gloria received an M.S. degree in Health Administration from the University of Scranton. Gloria also completed a 3-year family-based Mental Health training program at the Philadephia Child and Family Therapy Training Center.
Admissions Manager/Intake Coordinator/Receptionist... Jennifer manages the intake department to ensure the Aaron Center provides excellent Customer Service to all of our consumers. Jennifer also manages new patient referrals and coordinates care with other providers in the area. This includes collecting the proper demographic information and documentation, checking insurance eligibility, and scheduling new patients for intake with the correct team member. In addition to the intake department, Jennifer manages and answers the incoming calls, providing excellent Customer Service by scheduling appointments, rescheduling appointments, assisting with medication concerns, scheduling testing, scheduling medication evaluations and medication checks, solving other concerns they might have, and transferring calls. Front desk duties include cash bag, printing therapists encounter forms, schedule appointments for patients that need to return for therapy, and training of new hires.
Outpatient Therapist... Lisa Wanick received her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Bonaventure University and her Master of Science Degree from the University of Scranton. Lisa has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health profession, and currently is a mental health therapist working with our adult population. Professionally, Lisa is passionate about recovery and working with women with dual diagnoses. In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her son and family.
Outpatient Therapist... Stephanie Piccoletti received her Associates degree in Human Services from Lackawanna College, Bachelors of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University, and is currently working on her Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Marywood University. Stephanie will graduate in May of 2018, and attain her Nationally Certified Counselor Certification. Stephanie has been working and interning at The Aaron Center for over a year, and works with a variety of client populations, ages, and concerns. Previously, Stephanie worked at the Friendship House, interned at Marleys Mission, and interned at the Children Advocacy Center. Stephanie continues to attend Pennsylvania Counseling Association Conferences and American Counseling Association Conferences. Stephanie is passionate about expanding her career as a counselor. Stephanie uses a Person-Centered approach to counseling along with Cognitive Behavioral therapy.
